A Losing Battle (Ezekiel 2027-32) Living Life 08212025 Daily Devotional Bible Study

주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 은혜와 평강이 있기를 바랍니다.

Today as we meditate on God's words and made the Holy spirit open our hearts to recognize the battles we cannot win without him and then lead us to surrender fully.
오늘 우리가 하나님의 말씀을 묵상할 때 성령께서 우리의 마음을 열어, 하나님 없이는 이길 수 없는 싸움을 깨닫게 하시고, 온전히 항복하도록 인도하시기를 바랍니다.

 

In 2005 a couple from the West Virginia won an astonishing two hundred two point six million jackpots

the largest lottery win in U. S. history at the time.

But this incredible windfall came with the shocking consequences.
2005년 웨스트버지니아의 한 부부가 2억 260만 달러라는 당시 미국 역사상 가장 큰 복권 당첨금을 얻었습니다.

그러나 이 놀라운 행운은 충격적인 결과를 가져왔습니다.

Within a few short years the marriage ended in divorce and then not longer after the winner died by suicide.
불과 몇 년 만에 그 부부는 이혼했고, 이후 얼마 지나지 않아 당첨자는 스스로 생을 마감했습니다.

And then this tragic sequence shows how sudden wealth can shatter relationship,

magnify the hidden struggles and erode the very foundation of one's life even when everything appears perfect.
이 비극적인 과정은 갑작스러운 부가 어떻게 관계를 무너뜨리고, 숨겨진 갈등을 확대하며, 겉보기에는 완벽해 보이는 삶의 기초마저 무너뜨릴 수 있는지를 보여줍니다.

 

In As a Child's Chapter 2, Verse 2 through 32 Israel faces something similar.
「어린아이처럼」 2장 2절부터 32절에서 이스라엘은 이와 비슷한 상황을 맞이합니다.

God had given them the greatest blessing the promise land a land flowing with the milk and honey
하나님은 그들에게 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 약속의 땅이라는 가장 큰 축복을 주셨습니다.

but instead of drawing the closer to God and they continue in unfaithfulness and idolatry.
그러나 그들은 하나님께 더 가까이 나아가기보다 불성실과 우상숭배에 계속 빠졌습니다.

Let's hear today's passage and then discover how God responded to their betrayal.
이제 오늘의 본문을 듣고, 하나님께서 그들의 배반에 어떻게 응답하셨는지 살펴봅시다.

 

 

A Losing Battle

 

Ezekiel Chapter twenty verses 27 to 32
에스겔 20장 27절부터 32절입니다.

27. Therefore, son of man, speak to the people of Israel and say to them,  “This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In this also your ancestors blasphemed me by being unfaithful to me:” 27. 그러므로 인자야, 이스라엘 백성에게 말하고 그들에게 이르기를, “이것이 주권자 여호와의 말씀이다. 이 일에서도 너희 조상들이 나에게 불충하여 나를 모욕하였다.” 28. “When I brought them into the land I had sworn to give them and they saw any high hill or any leafy tree,  there they offered their sacrifices,  made offerings that aroused my anger,  presented their fragrant incense and poured out their drink offerings.” 28. “내가 그들을 내가 그들에게 주겠다 맹세한 땅으로 인도했을 때, 그들이 높은 산이나 무성한 나무를 보게 되면, 그곳에서 제사를 드리고, 나의 분노를 일으키는 제물을 바치며, 향을 피우고 전제(음료 제)를 부었다.” 29. “Then I said to them: ‘What is this high place you go to?’” (It is called Bamah to this day.) 29. “내가 그들에게 말하였다. ‘너희가 가는 이 높은 산당이 무엇이냐?’ 지금까지 그것은 ‘바마’라 불린다.” 30. “Therefore say to the Israelites: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Will you defile yourselves the way your ancestors did and lust after their vile images?” 30. “그러므로 이스라엘 백성에게 말하여라. ‘이것이 주권자 여호와의 말씀이다. 너희가 조상들처럼 스스로를 더럽히며, 그들의 가증한 우상을 사모하겠느냐?’” 31. “When you offer your gifts—the sacrifice of your children in the fire—you continue to defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. Am I to let you inquire of me, you Israelites? As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I will not let you inquire of me.” 31. “너희가 제물을 바치며—불에 자녀를 제물로 바치는 행위—너희는 오늘날까지 모든 우상으로 스스로를 더럽힌다. 이스라엘아, 내가 너희가 내게 묻도록 허락하겠느냐? 내가 살아 있음을 두고 맹세하노니, 주권자 여호와께서 말씀하신다. 내가 결코 너희가 내게 묻도록 허락하지 아니하리라.” 32. “‘You say, “We want to be like the nations, like the peoples of the world, who serve wood and stone.” But what you have in mind will never happen.’” 32. “‘너희는 말하기를, “우리는 나무와 돌을 섬기는 이방 민족들처럼 되고 싶다.” 하지만 너희가 염두에 두는 일은 결코 이루어지지 않을 것이다.’”

 

 

Just a two days ago we saw that some of the elders came and set before the edge child hoping to inquire of the Lord.
이틀 전에도 장로 몇 사람이 와서 주님의 뜻을 묻기를 원했다는 것을 우리는 보았다.

However God made clear that he would not give them the information they were seeking.
그러나 하나님은 그들이 원하는 정보를 주지 않겠다고 분명히 하셨다.

Instead of answering as they wanted it God told them what they needed to hear.
하나님은 그들이 원한 대답 대신, 반드시 들어야 할 말씀을 주셨다.

 

Today's passage is the second part of God's reply.
오늘 본문은 하나님의 대답의 두 번째 부분이다.

He speaks about how their ancestors to blamished him through their unfaithfulness.
하나님은 그들의 조상들이 불성실함으로 그분을 모독했던 일을 말씀하신다.

 

God had given them the promised land

but instead of proclaiming him as their God and then leaving as his chosen people an example to the nations in and they filled the land with the idol worship and then they offered the sacrifices on every hill high hills and under the every spreading tree.
하나님께서 그들에게 약속의 땅을 주셨으나, 그들은 하나님을 자기들의 하나님으로 선포하고 열방 앞에서 선택된 백성의 본이 되기보다는, 그 땅을 우상 숭배로 채우며 모든 높은 산과 무성한 나무 아래에서 제사를 드렸습니다.

And they even committed detestable acts including sacrificing their own children to false God for their blessing in the very place where God should have been worshiped.
그들은 심지어 하나님께 예배드려야 할 그 자리에서, 자기 자녀들을 거짓 신들에게 제물로 바치는 가증한 일까지 저질렀습니다.

And then they replaced the sovereign Lord with the pagan idol.
그들은 주권자이신 여호와를 버리고 이방의 우상으로 바꾸었습니다.

 

Then in verse 32 God reveals their heart.
32절에서 하나님은 그들의 마음을 드러내십니다.

They wanted it to be like the nation worship IDLE made of a wooden stone.
그들은 나무와 돌로 만든 우상을 섬기는 다른 나라처럼 되고 싶어 했습니다.

This was a losing battle and they had still not learned their lesson and then continued to provoke the gata re.
이것은 필패의 싸움이었고, 그들은 여전히 교훈을 배우지 못한 채 하나님을 계속 분노케 했습니다.

As a result God refused to let them inquire of him even though they longed to live like the other nations the Sovereign Lord would not allow it.
결국 하나님은 그들이 다른 민족처럼 살고자 했을지라도 그들의 물음을 허락하지 않으셨습니다. 주 여호와께서는 그것을 결코 허락하지 않으셨습니다.

He stepped into the reclaim his rifle placed in Israel's worship.
하나님은 이스라엘의 예배 속에서 자신이 마땅히 차지하실 자리를 되찾으셨습니다.

Ultimately pursuing idol would bring them no life or a blessing because the God had called them to be holy and set apart like those who believe the wealth will solve all their problems.
결국 우상을 좇는 것은 그들에게 생명도, 축복도 주지 못했습니다. 하나님은 그들을 거룩하고 구별된 백성으로 부르셨기 때문입니다. 마치 재물이 모든 문제를 해결할 것이라 믿는 자들처럼,

Israel thought blending in with the world would bring the security and fulfillment

but in reality it only drove them further from the God and who had rescued them.
이스라엘은 세상과 섞여 사는 것이 안전과 만족을 줄 것이라 생각했지만, 실제로는 그들을 구원하신 하나님으로부터 더 멀어지게 만들었을 뿐이었습니다.

And like Israel we are not immune to the ruler of the inner idol
이스라엘처럼 우리도 내면의 우상이라는 지배자로부터 자유롭지 못합니다.

idolatory and AD of I not only carved the image Tim Keller in his book Counterfeit God wrote this an idol is anything more important to you than God anything that absorb your heart and imagination more than God anything you seek to give you what only God can give.
우상숭배는 단순히 새긴 형상만이 아닙니다. 팀 켈러는 그의 책 Counterfeit Gods에서 이렇게 말했습니다.
“우상이란 하나님보다 더 중요하게 여기는 어떤 것이든, 하나님보다 더 마음과 상상을 사로잡는 어떤 것이든, 오직 하나님만이 주실 수 있는 것을 그것에게서 얻고자 하는 것”입니다.

For Israel, idols were literal statues and pagan rituals.
이스라엘에게 우상은 실제 형상들과 이방의 의식이었습니다.

For us today they may be wealth, success, relationships, confort or approval
오늘날 우리에게 우상은 부, 성공, 인간관계, 편안함, 혹은 인정일 수 있습니다.

but whenever we try to mix the worship of God with the worship of the you know, our idols we are fighting a losing battle
그러나 하나님을 예배하면서 동시에 우리 우상도 함께 섬기려 할 때, 우리는 이미 질 수밖에 없는 싸움을 하고 있는 것입니다.

tasting. Idols whether ancient or modern will never live to life.
옛날이든 오늘날이든 우상은 결코 생명을 줄 수 없습니다.

God's people cannot live like the nations and accept in his blessing the only path to true security, joy and freedom is a wholehearted devoted to him.
하나님의 백성은 다른 민족처럼 살면서 하나님의 축복을 받을 수 없습니다. 참된 안전과 기쁨과 자유로 가는 길은 오직 하나님께 온전히 헌신하는 삶뿐입니다.

 

 

 

Let's pray you know we don't have, you know, wooden status or statues or you know, stone carved image but father around us there are a lot of idols you know father we put more importance, meaning, things and people than you and the father.
기도하겠습니다. 우리는 나무나 돌로 깎은 형상들을 두고 예배하지는 않지만, 아버지, 우리의 삶 주위에는 수많은 우상들이 있습니다. 하나님보다 더 중요하게 여기는 의미와 물질, 사람들을 두는 우리의 모습을 고백합니다.
According to Tim Kalo those are the idols
팀 켈러의 말대로, 그것들이 곧 우상입니다.

you know Father we want to, you know,
alert and awake and see that is there anyone or anything we put the more value and we put them you know, more strength you know even when we are living in the blessing which is a servation but still we are mixing the you know, worshipping you and worshipping the world in a father we want to check our heart in a father Don't let us become like a Israelites but father and let us be let us live the life of which you call us to be and wholly and different.
아버지, 저희가 깨어 분별하여 우리의 삶 속에서 하나님보다 더 가치 있고 더 의지하는 것이 있는지를 보게 하소서. 비록 구원의 은혜라는 축복 속에 살고 있지만, 여전히 하나님을 예배하면서 세상도 예배하는 저희의 모습을 돌아봅니다. 아버지, 저희가 이스라엘 백성처럼 되지 않게 하시고, 하나님께서 부르신 거룩하고 구별된 삶을 살게 하옵소서.
