Introduction: God Fights the Battle Through Proper Placement

Welcome to living life. The greatest soldier is not the one who fights the best or the strongest person but the one who knows how to position the right people at the right place and have a good strategy for a battle.
And every place that God assigns us is a sacred ground because God makes no mistakes and God knows what's best for us.
In Efficians Chapter six it says that we do not wrestle against flesh we wrestle the rulers and authorities of evil.

That is why we need to put on a full armor of God and pray at all times in the spirit and God is fighting our battle for us.
We only need to trust in God.
Let's read today's passage

Scripture Reading: Joshua 21:8–26

Joshua Chapter 21 verses eight to twenty six.

So the Israelites allotted to the Levites these towns and their pasture lands as the Lord had commanded through Moses from the tribes of Judah and Simian they allotted the following towns by name.
These towns were assigned to the descendants of Erin who were from the Coathyte clans of the Levites.
Because the first lot fell to them they gave them Curath Arba that is Hebron with its surrounding pasture land in the hill country of Judah.
Arba was the forefather of Annac

but the fields and villages around the city they had given to Caleb son of Jaffoona as his possession.
So to the descendants of Errand the priest they gave Hebron a city of refuge for one accused of murder Libna Jetir Eshimoa Holan Debir Ae Judah and Beth Shamesh together with their pasture lands nine towns from these two tribes and from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibbian Geba Anathoth and Ulman together with their pasture lands four towns

The total number of towns for the priests The descendants of Erin came to 13 together with their pasture lands.
The rest of the Khathite clans of the Levites were allotted towns from the tribe of Ephrium in the hill country of Eprium.
They were given Chchum a city of refuge for one accused of murder and Gazer Kibsheym and Beth Horon together with their pasture lands four towns

also from the tribe of Dan they received Eltiquet Gibathon Ajalon and Gath Rimman together with their pasture lands four towns from half the tribe of Massa they received Tanoch and Gath Rimin together with their pasture lands two towns all these 10 towns and their pasture lands were given to the rest of the Khatha lands.

The Levites: Set Apart for God’s Work

The Levites are the descendants of Levi one of Jacob's twelve sons but they were different from other tribes.
The Levites were set apart to do God's work and they were assigned to teach God's law and lead worship and lead the people spiritually and they belonged to God and they were not farmers warriors or you know landowners by inheritance like the others instead they were doing God's work.
The Levites received no territorial inheritance

and because God wanted to teach us that those who serve God fully depend on God fully The Levites were given 48 cities total and these cities came from not one area but throughout Israel.
And here you can also see God's sarvation plan.

God’s Presence Scattered Throughout the Land

God scatters his servants so that his presence can fill the whole land.
It was not centralized in one area but scattered throughout Israel because God is not limited to one area and he loves all the people and every word in the Bible has a meaning and purpose

and in today's verses it least names of cities and it shows us that the Levites were scattered and not one tribe controls spiritual leadership yet God's presence is geographically dispersed.
God spreads spiritual authority across the land so all the areas and lands are covered with his presence and there is no area that has no spiritual witness.

Shared Responsibility for God’s Work

The Israelites gave these cities with their pasture lands to the Levites as the Lord commanded through Moses
and this require sacrifice generosity and shared responsibility for worship and the people of God are responsible for the work of God.

That is why we do tiding supporting ministries and funding missions so that we can build his church together in one spirit.
Because God's system is communal not individualistic.

Serving God With a Grateful Heart

We cannot serve God's kingdom if we have a sense of entitlement or you feel that you deserve things you can only serve God's kingdom when you have grateful heart
and know that it is God that is providing everything in your life.

So even the tiding is not about how much money you have or how much money you don't have it is about acknowledging the authority of God in your life.
Who is the owner of your life?

Every Believer Called to Be a Spiritual Levite

I pray that we all have that thankful heart and acknowledge that God is doing in what God is doing in our lives and give thanks for not only what he has done for us but what is coming in our life.

Think back on a time when you saw believers unite in obedience to God.

God honors those who serve him and

God skittered the levites among his people so that his presence and his word and his worship would be woven into every part of daily life.
What is God's calling for you and what is your mission field?
How does God want you to serve in your family at your work or at your church?

We are all called to be a spiritual levite and we are saved and we live because of God's grace but we should be, um,
sit on our own. We should not just sit on our own salvation our heart should be aligned with God and when we are aligned with God's heart, then our hearts will go out to the lost souls and our heart will rejoice when we are doing God's work for his own glory.

Closing Prayer

Let's pray Heavenly Father we praise your goodness and your amazing love for us and we are able to sustain our lives because of you have been providing for us and for our family.

Lord Um just help us not to serve your kingdom with our own selfish reasons or our own interest but instead teach us to leave a fateful servant life.
You, your calling always comes with provision.
Lord and Father God help us to empty ourselves and become God's servant.
In your son's name we prayed Amen.
