Whenever a child is scared or lost we see that the child runs to the arms of his parents
아이들이 두려워하거나 길을 잃었을 때, 그 아이가 부모의 품으로 달려가는 것을 우리는 봅니다.
not just when they go through these times when they messed up when they have done wrong
단지 잘못을 저지르거나 실수했을 때뿐만 아니라,
in a loving home we see that they still run to the arms of their parents
사랑이 있는 가정에서는 여전히 부모의 품으로 달려가는 것을 볼 수 있습니다.
and yes there might be some discipline but they are comforted they are accepted as they are and they are restored and sent back into the world.
물론 훈육이 있을 수도 있지만, 아이들은 위로받고 있는 그대로 받아들여지며, 회복되고 세상으로 다시 나아갑니다.
And it's a similar picture that I feel God wants for us as his children
그리고 이것은 하나님께서 우리를 자녀로서 원하시는 모습과 비슷하다고 느낍니다.
that when we are going through struggles of course we should go to our heavenly father
우리가 고난을 겪을 때 당연히 하늘 아버지께 가야 한다는 것,
but even when we sin even when we mess up and do wrong it's not running away from God that God desires that we run to him.
그러나 우리가 죄를 짓고, 실수하고 잘못을 저질렀을 때에도 하나님께서 원하시는 것은 우리가 그분에게서 도망치는 것이 아니라 그분께 달려가는 것입니다.
And yes once again there might be some discipline
그리고 다시 한 번, 훈육이 있을 수 있지만,
but through it all we are accepted and loved and restored and healed and comforted and sent back into the world to live for him.
그 모든 과정을 통해 우리는 받아들여지고, 사랑받으며, 회복되고, 치유되고, 위로를 받아 세상으로 나아가 하나님을 위해 살아가게 됩니다.
In our passage today we see that the people of Israel have sinned deeply against God and they are being judged
오늘의 본문에서는 이스라엘 백성이 하나님께 깊이 죄를 범하였고, 심판을 받고 있는 모습을 보게 됩니다.
and we're gonna see what they did to deserve this type of judgment
그리고 그들이 어떤 일을 해서 이런 심판을 받게 되었는지를 보게 될 것입니다.
but also the different lessons that we can learn from their example.
또한 그들의 본보기를 통해 우리가 배울 수 있는 다양한 교훈도 발견하게 될 것입니다.
So let's read today's passage together
그러므로 이제 오늘의 본문을 함께 읽어봅시다.
Ezekiel Chapter 22 verses seventeen to thirty one.
에스겔 22장 17절부터 31절까지.
| 17 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 17 그때 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임했다: 18 “Son of man, the people of Israel have become dross to me; all of them are the copper, tin, iron and lead left inside a furnace. They are but the dross of silver.” 18 “인자야, 이스라엘 백성은 내게 찌꺼기가 되었도다. 그들은 모두 용광로에 남은 구리, 주석, 철, 납과 같으며, 은의 찌꺼기에 불과하다.” 19 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because you have all become dross, I will gather you into Jerusalem.” 19 “그러므로 주 여호와께서 말씀하시되, 너희가 다 찌꺼기가 되었으므로 내가 너희를 예루살렘에 모으겠다 하셨다.” 20 “‘As silver, copper, iron, lead and tin are gathered into a furnace to be melted with a fiery blast, so will I gather you in my anger and my wrath and put you inside the city and melt you.’” 20 “‘은과 구리와 철과 납과 주석이 용광로에 모여 불바람에 녹듯이, 나의 분노와 진노로 너희를 모아 성 안에 넣고 녹이겠다.’” 21 “I will gather you and I will blow on you with my fiery wrath, and you will be melted inside her.” 21 “내가 너희를 모아 나의 불같은 진노로 불을 불어 너희를 그 안에서 녹이겠다.” 22 “As silver is melted in a furnace, so you will be melted inside her, and you will know that I the Lord have poured out my wrath on you.” 22 “은이 용광로에서 녹듯이, 너희는 그 안에서 녹을 것이며, 내가 여호와인 줄 알게 될 것이다. 내가 너희 위에 내 분노를 쏟았음을.” 23 Again the word of the Lord came to me: 23 다시 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임했더라: 24 “Son of man, say to the land, ‘You are a land that has not been cleansed or rained on in the day of wrath.’” 24 “인자야, 그 땅에 말하라. 너는 분노의 날에 씻기지 못하고 비도 내리지 않은 땅이다.” 25 “There is a conspiracy of her princes within her like a roaring lion tearing its prey; they devour people, take treasures and precious things and make many widows within her.” 25 “그 속의 지도자들이 음모를 꾸미나니, 마치 먹이를 찢는 사자의 포효 같으며, 사람을 삼키고 보물과 귀한 것을 빼앗아 그 가운데 많은 과부를 만든다.” 26 “Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.” 26 “그 제사장들은 내 율법을 폭력으로 짓밟고 내 거룩한 것을 더럽히며, 거룩한 것과 속된 것을 구별하지 않고, 부정한 것과 정한 것의 차이는 없다고 가르치며, 내 안식일을 지키는 것조차 외면하여 나를 그들 가운데서 더럽혔다.” 27 “Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain.” 27 “그 안의 관리들은 먹이를 찢는 이리 같아서, 피를 흘리고 사람을 죽여 불의한 이익을 챙긴다.” 28 “Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says’—when the Lord has not spoken.” 28 “그 선지자들은 거짓 환상과 속이는 점으로 그 행위를 희게 칠하며, ‘주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다’ 하고 말하되, 여호와께서는 말씀하지 않으셨다.” 29 “The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice.” 29 “그 땅의 백성은 착취하고 강도질하며, 가난하고 궁핍한 자를 압제하고 외국인을 학대하며 공의를 베풀지 않는다.” 30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.” 30 “내가 그들 가운데서 성벽을 세우고, 나를 대신해 틈에 서서 그 땅을 지켜 멸망시키지 않게 할 사람을 찾았으나, 한 사람도 찾지 못하였다.” 31 “So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.” 31 “그러므로 내가 분노를 그들 위에 쏟아, 불같은 진노로 그들을 삼키고, 그들의 행위대로 그들의 머리 위에 내리리니, 주 여호와의 말씀이니라.” |
In our passage. Today we see that Israel deserved judgment because of their deep sin.
오늘 본문에서 우리는 이스라엘이 깊은 죄악으로 인해 심판받을 만했다는 것을 보게 됩니다.
But first we're going to see why does God judge in the first place?
먼저, 하나님께서 왜 심판하시는지를 살펴보겠습니다.
There are two reasons. Number one God judges because sin is deserving of punishment.
두 가지 이유가 있습니다. 첫째, 하나님은 죄가 벌을 받아야 하기 때문에 심판하십니다.
The Bible teaches us that the wages of sin is dead.
성경은 죄의 삯은 사망이라고 가르칩니다.
Sin deserves judgment it deserves punishment and because God is a righteous and fair judge that is what we deserve.
죄는 심판과 벌을 받아 마땅하며, 하나님은 의롭고 공정하신 재판장이시므로 우리가 그것을 받는 것이 당연합니다.
But also why does God bring down this fiery judgment upon his people?
그렇다면 하나님께서 왜 자신의 백성에게 이 불같은 심판을 내리시는 것일까요?
This fire is designed not to just hurt and punish them but it is to help purify them.
이 불은 단지 그들을 상하게 하고 벌하기 위한 것이 아니라, 정결하게 하려는 목적이 있습니다.
You see when we have silver and gold they are very precious metals
but if they have so many impurities inside of them they must go through the refinous fire.
은과 금은 귀한 금속이지만, 그 안에 불순물이 많을 경우 정련의 불을 거쳐야 합니다.
Likewise God has made us in a very precious way
and if we have these impurities inside of us
it is very hard and difficult to live the precious life to the fullest that God has designed for us.
마찬가지로 하나님께서는 우리를 귀하게 지으셨지만, 우리 안에 불순물이 있으면 하나님께서 설계하신 귀한 삶을 온전히 살아가기 어렵습니다.
And so it's very important for us to allow the holy spirit
그래서 우리는 성령님께서
to burn away these impurities, these idols that we have placed to purify us and restore us so that we can live our lives this precious life that God has given us to the fullest in Christ.
이 불순물과 우리가 세운 우상들을 태워 없애시고, 우리를 정결케 하며 회복시키도록 허락해야 합니다. 그래야 그리스도 안에서 하나님께서 주신 귀한 삶을 온전히 살아갈 수 있습니다.
And so that's why God brings down judgment.
그래서 하나님은 심판을 내리시는 것입니다.
And so what did the people of Israel do to deserve this type of judgment?
그렇다면 이스라엘 백성은 어떤 잘못을 저질러 이런 심판을 받게 되었을까요?
We see problems in the leadership of Israel.
이스라엘의 지도자들에게 문제가 있었습니다.
Number one we see that the leaders took advantage of the weak
첫째, 지도자들이 약한 자들을 착취했습니다.
when we have weak in our society when we have people who need help it is such a travesty when we see that things are taken away from them and that's what happened with the people of Israel.
우리 사회에 약한 자들, 도움이 필요한 사람들이 있는데, 그들에게서 것을 빼앗는 것은 큰 비극입니다. 이스라엘 백성 가운데서도 그런 일이 일어났습니다.
Also the priests were also leaders but in verse twenty six we see that they do not distinguish between the holy and the common.
또한 제사장들도 지도자였지만, 26절을 보면 그들이 거룩한 것과 속된 것을 구별하지 않았습니다.
They teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean.
그들은 부정한 것과 정한 것의 차이가 없다고 가르쳤습니다.
God wanted the priest to show
하나님은 제사장들이 보여주기를 원하셨습니다.
what is clean and what is unclean.
무엇이 정한 것이고 무엇이 부정한 것인지를.
He wanted to separate and differentiate these things to show how holy God is and our sinful magnets
하나님은 이것들을 구별함으로써 하나님의 거룩하심과 우리의 죄된 본성을 드러내기를 원하셨습니다.
to show that we need a saviour that we cannot get to God on our own that we cannot enter act with God on the fullest level because of our sin
우리가 스스로는 하나님께 나아갈 수 없고, 죄 때문에 하나님과 온전히 교제할 수 없으며, 구세주가 필요하다는 것을 보여주기 위함이었습니다.
but because the priest did not differentiate between the clean and unclean the holy and unholy the people did not see their sin and understand their sin to the fullest
그러나 제사장들이 정한 것과 부정한 것, 거룩한 것과 속된 것을 구별하지 않았기에, 백성은 자기 죄를 깨닫지 못했고, 죄의 심각성을 제대로 이해하지 못했습니다.
and they could not fully see how holy and righteous God was.
그리고 하나님의 거룩하심과 의로우심을 온전히 볼 수 없었습니다.
That's why they had these purification laws and all these different things and they did not follow them.
그래서 정결법 등 여러 규례들이 주어졌는데, 그들은 그것을 지키지 않았습니다.
And so the people were unable to see their need for God and their need for a saviour.
그리하여 백성은 하나님과 구세주에 대한 필요성을 깨닫지 못했습니다.
We also see the prophets in verse twenty eight they were lying that they saw these visions from God and that God was speaking to them.
또한 28절에서는 선지자들이 거짓말을 하며, 하나님께서 말씀하셨다고 속이고, 자신들이 하나님께 환상을 보았다고 주장한 것을 볼 수 있습니다.
They say this is what the sovereign Lord says when in fact the Lord has not spoken.
그들은 “주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다”라고 말했지만, 사실 주님은 말씀하지 않으셨습니다.
And so we see here the importance of leadership.
여기서 우리는 리더십의 중요성을 봅니다.
We are all leaders in different in different ways whether it be in the family whether it be in the church as teachers and leaders of the church or pastor whatever it may be leadership is so important especially when it comes to the weak in that community are there any who are weak?
우리는 모두 각기 다른 방식으로 리더입니다. 가정에서든, 교회에서 교사나 지도자, 혹은 목회자로서든 리더십은 매우 중요합니다. 특히 공동체 안의 약한 자들과 관련해서는 더욱 그렇습니다. 약한 자들이 있습니까?
It's important to provide for them not to take away from them
그들에게서 빼앗는 것이 아니라 그들을 돌보고 공급하는 것이 중요합니다.
and if they are being oppressed and they are being hurt as leaders what must we do?
만약 그들이 억압받고 상처받고 있다면, 지도자로서 우리는 무엇을 해야 합니까?
We must stand up for them stand up for the righteous cause and be there for them as leaders.
우리는 그들을 위해 일어서야 하고, 의로운 일에 앞장서야 하며, 지도자로서 그들 곁에 있어야 합니다.
Unlike these priests who represented God in the wrong way we want our lives to represent God in the right way to show how amazing he is and to show how amazing a savior Jesus is.
하나님을 잘못 대표한 이 제사장들과는 달리, 우리는 우리의 삶을 통해 하나님을 바르게 나타내야 합니다. 하나님의 위대하심과 예수님의 놀라운 구세주 되심을 드러내야 합니다.
Our lives should reflect that to be honest to be leaders that really resemble God's characteristics.
우리의 삶은 그것을 반영해야 하며, 하나님의 성품을 닮은 진정한 지도자가 되어야 합니다.
And because the leadership was in shambles we see that all of the people were also falling into deep sin.
그리고 리더십이 무너졌기 때문에, 모든 백성 또한 깊은 죄에 빠져들었습니다.
They were cheating people they were stealing from each other and once again they were oppressing the weak.
그들은 서로 속이고, 서로 훔치며, 다시금 약한 자들을 억압했습니다.
And so we see big problems in this society with the people of Israel
and it stems from that really bad leadership
and that is why God brought this fiery judgment upon the people.
그래서 우리는 이스라엘 사회에 큰 문제가 있었음을 보게 됩니다. 그 근원은 잘못된 리더십이었고, 그것 때문에 하나님께서 불같은 심판을 내리신 것입니다.
And when this fire judgment came it's important for the people to run back to God but did they run to God?
그리고 이 불같은 심판이 임했을 때, 백성들은 하나님께로 달려가야 했습니다. 그러나 그들은 하나님께 달려갔습니까?
No they ran to the walls of Jerusalem thinking this is the place that is going to keep us safe from Babylon.
아니요, 그들은 바빌론으로부터 자신들을 지켜줄 것이라 생각하며 예루살렘 성벽으로 달려갔습니다.
And I want us to also ask ourselves this question what are our walls of Jerusalem?
우리도 이 질문을 스스로에게 던져야 합니다. 우리의 ‘예루살렘 성벽’은 무엇입니까?
What are the things that we're trying to find security and comfort in?
우리가 안전과 위로를 찾으려 붙잡고 있는 것들은 무엇입니까?
Ultimately they will all crumble.
결국 그것들은 다 무너질 것입니다.
There is only one stronghold, one fortress, one foundation
오직 하나의 요새, 하나의 성채, 하나의 기초만이 있습니다.
that stands firm through the end of time and that is in our savior Jesus.
시간의 끝까지 굳건히 서 있는 것은 바로 우리의 구세주 예수 안에 있는 것입니다.
So I encourage you to run to Jesus anytime you are struggling but especially when you fall into sin.
그러므로 여러분이 힘들 때마다, 특히 죄에 빠졌을 때 예수님께 달려가기를 권면합니다.
Don't run to shame don't run to fear don't run to other sins and deeper sin run to your father
He will restore us He will heal us He will discipline us
but he will bring us back so that we can be used by him in a powerful and beautiful way.
부끄러움으로, 두려움으로, 더 깊은 죄로 달려가지 말고 아버지께 달려가십시오. 그분은 우리를 회복하시고, 치유하시며, 훈련하시되 결국 우리를 다시 불러내어 능력 있고 아름다운 방식으로 사용하실 것입니다.
We'll finish with Verse Thirty and it says I looked for some one among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it but I found no one.
마지막으로 30절을 보면 이렇게 말합니다. “내가 그들 가운데 성벽을 쌓고, 그 틈에 서서 나를 대신해 그 땅을 막아 멸하지 않게 할 사람을 찾았으나, 한 사람도 찾지 못하였다.”
God was looking for that one person who could intercede on behalf of the people stand before the people but there was no one who would stand before the gap on behalf of the people.
하나님은 백성을 대신해 중보하며 그 틈에 서 줄 한 사람을 찾으셨지만, 그 역할을 할 사람은 아무도 없었습니다.
But for us as God's children Praise be to God that Jesus stood
그러나 하나님의 자녀인 우리에게는 찬양할 일이 있습니다. 바로 예수님께서 서 주셨다는 것입니다.
amongst us before God in the gap on behalf of us so that he would not have to destroy us.
예수님은 하나님 앞에서 우리를 대신하여 그 틈에 서셨고, 하나님께서 우리를 멸망시키지 않으시도록 하셨습니다.
Rather Jesus our savior was destroyed his body shed he died in our place
so that we could have a way back to the father.
오히려 우리 구세주 예수님께서 멸망을 당하시고, 그 몸이 찢기셨으며, 우리 대신 죽으셔서 우리가 아버지께로 돌아갈 길을 열어주셨습니다.
Praise be to God that through Jesus sacrifice we can boldly approach the throne of grace with confidence and go back to our father because he has already taken the punishment we deserve.
예수님의 희생으로 인해 우리가 담대히 은혜의 보좌 앞에 나아갈 수 있고, 이미 우리가 받아야 할 벌을 예수님께서 받으셨기에 아버지께 돌아갈 수 있다는 사실을 찬양합니다.
And so once again I want to encourage you
그래서 다시 한 번 여러분을 격려하고 싶습니다.
If you are struggling like that child scared and lost Go to your father in Heaven Go to your father who never changes and accepts us and loves us as we are.
만약 두려움과 길 잃음 속에 있는 아이처럼 힘들다면, 하늘에 계신 아버지께 가십시오. 변치 않으시고 있는 그대로 우리를 받아주시며 사랑하시는 아버지께 가십시오.
But even when you sin and especially when you sin make sure to run back to the father.
그러나 여러분이 죄를 지을 때, 특히 죄를 지을 때 반드시 아버지께 달려가십시오.
Why? Because Jesus already paid the price.
왜냐하면 예수님께서 이미 그 값을 치르셨기 때문입니다.
Go back to the father and in the father we will find the healing the comforts we will find the cleansing of our sin that we need and he will restore us
아버지께 돌아가면, 우리는 치유와 위로를 얻게 되고, 죄 사함의 정결을 얻으며, 하나님께서 우리를 회복시켜 주십니다.
and allow us to go back into the world as his precious children to do his precious work to save and to bring more people back to him and to bring him honor and glory.
그리고 우리를 그의 귀한 자녀로 세상에 다시 보내셔서, 구원의 일을 행하게 하시고, 더 많은 사람을 그분께로 돌아오게 하시며, 하나님께 영광과 존귀를 돌리게 하십니다.
May we live those types of lives
우리가 그런 삶을 살기를 바랍니다.
let us pray gracious Father we thank you that no matter what we face we can turn to you as our father in Heaven
기도하겠습니다. 은혜로우신 아버지, 우리가 무엇을 직면하든 하늘 아버지께 나아갈 수 있음을 감사드립니다.
No matter what we may face as far as being lost in life The struggles the hurts the pains we can turn to you
삶 속에서 길을 잃을 때, 고난과 상처와 아픔을 겪을 때마다 우리가 주님께 나아갈 수 있음을 고백합니다.
but we see also that we could turn to you even when we sin even when we mess up
또한 우리가 죄를 지을 때조차, 실수할 때에도 주님께 나아갈 수 있음을 봅니다.
and yes you may discipline us Yes the Holy spirit will do his work within us to cleanse us from that those impurities.
물론 주님께서 우리를 징계하시고, 성령께서 우리 안에서 역사하셔서 불순물을 제거하실 것입니다.
But once you do your great work within us you restore us comfort us and send us back into the world to be the true disciples to share your amazing love to this world.
그러나 주님께서 우리 안에서 위대한 일을 이루시면, 우리를 회복시키시고 위로하시며 세상으로 다시 보내셔서 참된 제자가 되어 하나님의 놀라운 사랑을 전하게 하십니다.
Father, help us to know that you are not just a God of judgment but that you already brought down that judgment upon your son.
아버지, 주님께서 심판의 하나님이실 뿐만 아니라, 그 심판을 이미 아들에게 내리셨음을 알게 하소서.
So help us not to be scared because there is no condemnation for us in Christ Jesus.
그러므로 우리가 두려워하지 않게 하소서. 그리스도 예수 안에는 결코 정죄함이 없기 때문입니다.
And may we approach you and go into your arms with confidence fully believing in what Jesus has done
우리가 예수님께서 이루신 일을 온전히 믿음으로 담대히 주님께 나아가 주님의 품에 안기게 하소서.
and may we find the restoration that we need to be the children who live our precious lives for your kingdom.
그리고 우리가 필요한 회복을 얻어, 주님의 나라를 위해 귀한 삶을 살아가는 자녀들이 되게 하소서.
